Svala O-neck is based on an old knitted sweater that belonged to the grandmother of one of our employees. We fell for the classic pattern, originally made in grey and white, and gave it new life by adding the colours Storm Blue and Camel.
The colours are inspired by a journey to India, where we discovered traditional Indian vintage textiles. Together with Hjelholt, we later developed Storm Blue, a dusty grey-blue shade that became part of the colour palette of the Svala knit.

Recommended needles:
4.5 mm and 5 mm circular needles, 80 cm
Gauge:
19 sts x 22 rounds on 5 mm needles, knitted according to the chart and measured after washing.
Please note that the needle sizes are recommendations. If you knit more tightly than the stated gauge, use a larger needle size. If you knit more loosely, use a smaller needle size.
Yarn:
Håndværksgarn 300 g Storm Blue, colour 1, 200 g Sand, colour 2, 200 (300) g Camel, colour 3. All from Hjelholts Uldspinderi. 100 g = 200 metres.

CONSTRUCTION
The jumper is knitted from the bottom up. First, the body is knitted in the round on circular needles up to the yoke, where the work is divided into the front and back. These are then completed separately.
Stitches for the sleeves are picked up along the armholes, and the sleeves are knitted in the round on circular needles.
Finally, stitches are picked up for the neckline, which is first worked in double knitting and then finished with ribbing.
